3rd Transatlantic Wound Science Conference
Posted by PPL Biomechanics on
We recently exhibited at the Transatlantic Wound Science & Podiatric Medicine Conference in the Galway Bay Hotel. The event was very efficiently organised by Prof. Caroline McIntosh and the podiatry team at the National University of Ireland, Galway, in partnership with The New York College of Podiatric Medicine, The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists of Ireland and The Organisation of Chiropodists/Podiatrists of Ireland. We thoroughly enjoyed the few days we spent there, meeting some old friends and loyal customers. The guest speakers were of the highest prestige, including Prof. Alberto Piagessi from The University of Pisa, Prof. Anthony R. Iorio New York College of Podiatric Medicine and Dr. Paramjit Chopra, Founder & Medical Director of MIMIT (Midwest Institute for Minimally Invasive Therapies) in Chicago. There was also excellent presentations from the staff and students of NUIG.
Of particular interest to us was the masterclass workshop on TCC-EZ from Graham Bowen, lead podiatrist at Solent NHS in the UK. Graham's presentation was highly informative and to the point, detailing the medical and economical benefits of the TCC-EZ system over other modalities. For more information on the TCC-EZ system please see here or contact us.
This exhibition was a welcomed opportunity for us to introduce our recently expanded range of wound care products to the market. Over the past couple of years we have witnessed an increased requirement for offloading solutions. Our relationship with international leading suppliers has enabled us to provide a vast range of offloading solutions for all types of patients. We were delighted to exhibit alongside both the Wound Care Circle and TTC-EZ, two of the aforementioned market leaders in offloading solutions. To learn more about our range please see our website here or contact our sales team for further information.
Over the past couple of months we have conducted numerous Offloading Training Days across the country. These have proven to be an excellent means of further educating podiatrists on offloading modalities and the types of solutions we offer. If you are interested in attending one of these training events please contact our courses team. We are now looking forward to our next exhibit at the CPPP Conference in Kilashee Hotel on May 5th, where we will be displaying our range of products which are more relevant to private practice physiotherapists. We hope to see you there.
